CARTHAGE, Mo. —
The Jasper County Emergency Services Board is replacing its current computer-aided dispatch system and those who work in departments dispatched by the board will get a chance next week to look at the contenders.
Systems supplied by two firms are being considered and demonstrations of the systems are set for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Carthage Police and Fire Departments.
“That way, people can go back and forth and look at each of them,” April Tarrant, board executive director, told members during a meeting Tuesday.
The new system will replace one that was installed when board operations started.
