The winter that just keeps giving is about to give again.

The National Weather Service in Springfield is warning residents of Southeast Kansas and Southwest Missouri to prepare for "heavy snowfall" beginning Sunday and ending early Tuesday.

"Heavy snow accumulation in excess of nine inches will be the primary threat," according to the NWS reported issued this morning, which noted that the exact position of the heaviest band of snow is still uncertain.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa, Okla., puts estimates for Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas at between four and eight inches for that region.
