Security tight at Joplin airport

JOPLIN, Mo. — Security is tight at Joplin Regional Airport in expectation of President Obama’s arrival on Air Force One.

Motorcycles that are to be part of a motorcade were lining up.

A large contingent of police agencies were providing security and restricting access only to those who were supposed to be there.

Two U.S. Air Force cargo planes were on the ground, one of which flew in Saturday and one which landed today.
