Shooting leaves two in critical condition

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin Police Department was called late Saturday night to 1314 E 15th St., in reference to a shooting according to a press release issued shortly after 6 a.m. today.

 Officers found a 36-year-old female, Monica Webb, in the home with a gunshot wound. The female was transported to Freeman Hospital West, where she remains in critical condition.

 Also found in the home was 35 year old male, Ronald Webb with a gunshot wound. He too was transported to Freeman where he remains in critical condition. Ronald Webb is Monica Webb’s estranged husband.

 Joplin Police detectives continue to follow up leads in an attempt to identify the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At this time there is no one in custody.
