A Cassville man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:30 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 37, a half-mile north of Cassville in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Jessie A. Webb, 21, was taken by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Cassville, the patrol said.

Webb was driving a southbound car that struck a guardrail and overturned when he swerved to avoid a deer, the patrol said.

n A Webb City man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday on North Main Street at Murphy Boulevard, according to the Joplin Police Department.

Daniel B. Shaffar, 53, was taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital, the police report said.

Shaffar was driving a southbound car that ran off the road, through a grassy field and into a creek, the report said.
