MSSU schedules NFL draft parties for Brandon Williams

The Missouri Southern athletics department will have a pre-NFL draft party for Missouri Southern All-American defensive tackle Brandon Williams at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Continental Banquet Center of Granny Schaeffers, 2728 N. Rangeline Road.

Williams, who has been predicted to go as high as the second round by draft analysts, will address the crowd. Two videos featuring Williams’ time at Missouri Southern will be shown.

The cost to attend will be $25 per person and will include a meal and free autograph session with Williams. Fans may bring items they want autographed, but there also will be items available for purchase.

Those wanting to attend Wednesday’s pre-draft party must RSVP to Randon Coffey, director of marketing and corporate sales, at by Monday.

A draft watch party is planned at Gusano’s, 3929 E. 7th, at 6 p.m. Friday, April 26 — the day that Williams is expected to be selected.
