The following is a list of services available for people who have been affected by the storms, as well as pertinent phone numbers and information about utilities.
Shelters
n In Newton County, a Red Cross shelter has been established at Calvary Baptist Church, 2650 Oakridge Extension, Neosho.
n In Ottawa County, Okla., a Red Cross shelter has been established at the First Christian Church, 2424 N. Main St., Miami.

n In Oklahoma, the Red Cross can be reached by calling (918) 831-1109.
n Those who want to check on the condition
of a loved one may visit the Red Cross Web site at www.redcross.org and click on the “Register as safe and well” link or call (800) GET-INFO.
Power outages
n As of Sunday afternoon, between 7,000 and 8,000 customers of New-Mac Electric Cooperative were still without power, according to Mark Rakes, a cooperative spokesman. Some, but not all, of those customers should expect to be without power for seven to 10 days. Prolonged outages should be expected in areas that include Spring City and Spurgeon, he said.

n Empire District Electric Co. said that as of 7 p.m. Sunday, about 2,000 customers were still without power in its Missouri service area.

Tetanus shots
n The Newton County Health Department will offer tetanus shots to area emergency responders and residents beginning today. The offer is for anyone who has been or will be involved in handling debris from the tornado.
To obtain a shot, people may visit the Health Department at 812 W. Harmony St. in Neosho. Offices open at 8 a.m. Information:

Supplies
for victims
n In Newton County, various items for disaster victims will be available from a local warehouse at 1300 Howard Bush Drive in Neosho. Available items include bottled water, power drinks, personal hygiene products, paper towels, baby diapers, baby formula, snacks, first-aid kits, clothes, shoes, pillows and blankets.

Gary Roark, Newton County emergency manager, said Sunday that a telephone number people can call for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency may be released today.
