SELIGMAN, Mo. — Six people were arrested and an estimated $35,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized during a raid early Tuesday on a property in Seligman by the Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force and the Barry County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Mick Epperly said in a news release that the arrests were made at 159 Frisco St. in Seligman in the course of executing a search warrant with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department’s special-response team. The suspects were located in a house and other buildings on the property, the sheriff said.
About a half-pound of meth allegedly was discovered in one suspect’s possession, and smaller amounts of meth and marijuana allegedly were found in the possession of the other suspects. Four motorcycles and an unspecified amount of cash also were seized, according to the news release.
Danny L. Post, 33, of Fayetteville, Ark., was being held Tuesday at the Barry County Jail in Cassville on a charge of drug trafficking in the second degree, with bond set at $100,000. The five others who were arrested were being held on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance.
The others charged were Scotty R. Hall, 35, of Cassville; Megan D. Buffington, 35, of Farmington, Ark.; Norman Glueckert, 45, of Seligman; Glenna A. Steele, 41, of Seligman; and Robert L. Hayes, 45, of Cassville. Hall, Glueckert and Steele were being held on $35,000 bonds. Hayes’ bond was $25,000, and Buffington’s was $10,000, according to the release.
