An 18-year-old man reported being robbed of his cellular telephone by a man who jumped him Monday night in a parking lot at Taylor Performing Arts Center at Missouri Southern State University, 3950 E. Newman Road.
Kyle A. Grover, of Seneca, told Joplin police that the robber pushed him into his car, took the phone from his pants pocket and fled. Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said the matter remained under investigation Tuesday
