Neosho man suffers stab wound

A report Sunday night of a man walking in the 1200 block of East 15th Street covered in blood resulted in a 23-year-old stabbing victim being taken to a Joplin hospital, according to Joplin police.

Officers found Michael J. Barton, of Neosho, in the area with a stab wound to his arm. Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said Barton refused to tell officers how he suffered the wound, but he agreed to be taken by ambulance to St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
