The rural schools of Northwest Newton County will hold a reunion Sunday in the Fellowship Hall of the Spring City Baptist Church, located on Highway 86 south of Joplin.

Activities will begin at 1 p.m. with a covered dish dinner. A drawing will be held for door prizes.

Those attending are asked to bring old school, church and community pictures and mementos to share.

STOTTS CITY Mo. - The Stotts City school reunion for anyone who attended the school will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the First Baptist Church, located next door to the former school.

The reunion is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. Those who plan to attend are asked to bring pot luck or finger foods, and lawn chairs. Table ware, coffee, tea and ice will be provided.

WEST MINERAL, Kan. - The Mineral all-school reunion is slated for the weekend of Aug. 29-31.

Activities will begin with a reception and get-together at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Big Brutus. The following day's events, Saturday, Aug. 30, will take place at the Holiday Inn in Pittsburg. Morning coffee will begin at 10 a.m.; a light lunch will be served at noon; the banquet is set for 6 p.m.; and a dance, which will feature "Cotton Westoff," is slated from 8 to 11 p.m.

A picnic will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at Big Brutus. Those attending are asked to bring two covered dishes. Chicken, paper products and drinks will be provided by the Alumni Association.
