Library to offer computer classes

LAMAR, Mo. - The Barton County Library will be installing a computer-training lab thanks to a $37,760 federal grant administrated by the Missouri State Library.

The lab will be used to conduct basic computer instruction for the community. The library plans for the classes to include computer basics, Internet and e-mail usage, and basic training in Microsoft Office programs.

Jacque Gage, director of the library, said in a news release: "We have had many people requesting basic computer instruction, but until this point had no realistic way of being able to offer this service. We hope that many community members will plan to take advantage of the training this will offer."
