Several injured in traffic crashes on area roadways

A Nathalie, Va., man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 126, southwest of Lamar in Barton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Wesley J. Edmonds, 30, the driver, was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar.

The eastbound vehicle ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.

A Sheldon girl suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 11:05 a.m. Thursday on Vernon County Road 1930, two miles east of Sheldon, the patrol said.

Injured was Elizabeth M. Young, 8, a passenger in a vehicle driven by Tonia C. Young, 35, of Sheldon. The girl was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar.

The southbound van struck a pile of gravel in the road, the patrol said.

An Everton teenager suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 9 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 39, four miles north of Miller in Lawrence County, the patrol said.

Carrie L. Miller, 16, the driver, was taken to St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.

The northbound vehicle struck a horse in the road, the patrol said.

A Goodman infant was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday on Lark Road, five miles south of Neosho in Newton County, the patrol said.

Injured was Kyla-Shae E. Clark, 1, a passenger in a vehicle driven by Jonathan W. Clark, 24, of Goodman. The infant went in a private vehicle to Freeman Neosho Hospital.

Clark lost control of his northbound vehicle, which skidded off the road and struck a fence, the patrol said.
