A number of vehicles and some maintenance equipment, 70 bicycles and a variety of office equipment are among the items to be sold Saturday at the city of Joplin’s surplus auction.

The sale will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the maintenance barn in the Public Works Center, 1301 W. Second St. The public can view the items from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Vehicles to be sold include a 1998 Ford police car, 1996 Dodge cargo van, a 2009 Kubota utility vehicle and a 1993 Dodge dump truck. Among the equipment to be sold are two 10-foot plows, an air compressor, two jack hammers, an air hammer, weed trimmers and pipeline camera equipment. A number of desktop and laptop computers, a server, and some office furniture is on the list.

Items turned over or recovered by the Joplin Police Department that are in the sale include the used bicycles, a variety of toys listed as new, a diamond ring, a variety of clothing, a hunter tree stand and a saxophone.
