JOPLIN, Mo. —
BOB BELL, of Joplin, recently was honored with an appointment to the Missouri Judo Inc. board of directors and promotions board.
Bell has been instructing students in judo, jujitsu and self-defense for 26 years. He is a seventh-degree black belt; there are 10 degrees worldwide.
Judo was the first martial art to be introduced in competition at the Olympic Games.
Bell’s Judo Club, for adults and younger members, is at 1320 W. Broadway in Webb City. Members of the club have competed in many tournaments.
