CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Poe Jr. passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Ronnie was born Oct. 26, 1982, in Carthage. He attended school in Carthage and later attended Ozark technical School in Springfield. He attended the Church of God Holiness in Carthage. Ronnie was an avid KC Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers fan.
Ronnie is survived by his parents, Ronald and Barbara Poe, of Joplin, and Charles and Cindy Watkins, of Carthage; his fiancée and soul mate Renae Cookerly, of Joplin, and there dog, Shortstuff, who he called "Daddy's Baby Baby"; sister, Eron Elizabeth Poe and brother, J.T. Montgomery, of Carthage; and grandparents, Lee and Margie Ogle, of Sarcoxie, and Lula Watkins, of Elk City, Okla. Ronnie is also survived by the aunts and uncles that follow, Eduardo and Debbie Portillo, of Carthage, Don and Cindy Poe, of Carthage, Steve and Patty St. Clair, of Sarcoxie, Greg and Trina Achterman, of Springfield, Vesta Robinson, Gary and Brandy Watkins, of Oklahoma City, James and Demitri Watkins, of Houston, Texas, Paul and Pat Jackson, Mark and Elaine Adams, Mike Watkins, Doris Watkins, Calvin Watkins, Vivian Watkins, David Watkins, all of Elk City, and a host of cousins and friends. Ronnie is preceded in death by his brother, Byron Lee Poe and sister, Makayla Ann Poe; and grandparents, Rev. Melvin and Irma Poe and Walter Watkins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation to follow at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
