REPUBLIC, Mo. —
Edythe Roberta Phillips, age 94, formerly of Webb City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at the Christian Healthcare in Republic, Mo.
She was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Johnson County, Mo., to Henry and Mae Underwood Kohler.
Edythe was employed with the Elder Shirt Factory and retired in 1983. She was a volunteer for St. John's hospice for 14 years and volunteered at ARM. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Webb City, Mo.
She married Woodrow Phillips on Sept. 19, 1935, in Galena, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Also preceding her in death was a son, John Phillips; brother, L.W. Kohler; and her sister, Euna Jerome.
Edythe is survived by one daughter, Barbara Yocum and husband, John, Republic, Mo.; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Elva Kohler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Pastor Ron Woody officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
