GROVE, Okla. —
Naomi Ruth Busch, age 88, of Grove, Okla., a longtime Baxter Springs, Kan. resident, passed away at 7 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Naomi was born April 16, 1924, in Cheney, Kan. She had lived in Grove the last eight years, after living more than 30 years in Baxter Springs. Naomi and her husband were involved in ministry for over 50 years, pastoring several churches, the last being the Southside Apostolic Faith Church in Joplin. They also taught at the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs. She was currently attending Christ Church in Grove.
Naomi married O.A. Busch Oct. 23, 1948, in Laverne, Okla. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jene Marie Busch; one brother; two sisters; and a great-grandson, Orion Busch.
Survivors include two sons, Roland "Buzz" Busch and wife, Leslie, Baxter Springs, and Bradley B. Busch and wife, Sandy, Grove; five grandchildren, Brandon Busch, Nick Busch, Amy Stevens, Matt Busch and Tyler Busch; and five great-grandchildren, Braden, Peyton, and Harmony Busch and Caleb and Garrett Stevens.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Southside Apostolic Faith Church in Joplin with Rev. Richard Morris and Rev. Jerry Baser officiating. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs in care of the mortuary.
