JOPLIN, Mo. —
Dorothy Orpha Bedsaul Forshey, 97, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Webb City Health and Rehab.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1915, to Richard Huffman and Binda Vickers Huffman.
Dorothy worked as a waitress at the Conner Hotel and Keller’s Barbeque in Joplin, Mo., for many years and attended the Faith Assembly of God church in Joplin.
She was married to Frank Forshey and he preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1987.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Chester Bedsaul and wife, Betty, of Philomath, Ore.; grandchildren, Binda Long and husband, Corky, of Diamond, Mo., Jaime Blankenship, of Joplin, Jim Davis and wife, Twyla, of Joplin, Pamela Davis and husband, Terry Floyd, of San Leandro, Calif., Julie Reavis, of Webb City, Mo., Terry Chew, of Kansas, Jeff Chew, of Joplin, Chris Bedsaul, of Philomath, Melinda Bedsaul, of Oregon, Nancy Bedsaul, of Oregon; step-grandchildren, Ruby Corbaley and husband, Terry, of Webb City, Rusty Crane, of Webb City; and a host of great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by son, Jeff Bedsaul and wife, Betty; and a daughter Francis Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, at 10 a.m. at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Larry Griffin and Garland Davis officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
