SENECA, MO —

Harry W. Clevenger, 92, Seneca, Mo., passed away at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, after an illness.

Harry Wayne Clevenger was born Jan. 8, 1920, in Blackwell, Okla., the son of George and Frances (Fitzgerald). Harry worked for Tri-State Motor Transit as a diesel mechanic. Harry was of the Baptist  Faith.

Harry married Florence Conrad Jan. 2, 1946, in Columbus, Kan. She preceded him in death May 20, 1995.

Survivors include three sons, Jack Clevenger, Seneca, Bert Clevenger, Seneca, and David Clevenger, Duncan, Okla.; one sister, Freda Cooley, Hot Springs; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Frances; one brother, Richard Clevenger; one sister, Mary Hipple; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Seneca Cemetery with Phil Clevenger officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
