CARTHAGE, MO —
Angela D. Houdyshell, 72, passed away at her home in Carthage, Mo., on Jan. 8, 2013.
She was born April 19, 1940, in Harlan, Ky., to Thelma Barnett Asher and Everett Asher. She graduated Kiser High School class of 1958. She was a Longtime Jasper county resident. Angela owned and operated, for 17 years, the Mark Twain Day Care. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Angela was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, of Carthage.
Angela was united in marriage to Ron Houdyshell on Aug. 12, 1977, in Miami, Okla. He survives.
Angela is survived by six sons, Jimmy Morgan and wife, Karrla, of Joplin, Tim Morgan and wife, Natasha, of Dallas, Texas, Randy Morgan, of Joplin, David Houdyshell and wife, Christy, of Oronogo, Joe Houdyshell, of Carthage, and Ronny Houdyshell Jr., of Oronogo; 13 grandchildren, Kacy, Kyle, Lana, T.J., Travis, Chelsea, Trey, Austin, Cody, Kyle, Kenzi Karlie and Taylor; one great-grandson, Jordan; and one brother, Johnny Asher, of Miller, Mo. Angela was preceded by her parents; and one son, Shane De Hart November 1975.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
