BAXTER SPRINGS, KS —
Harry Erwin Miller, 80, of Baxter Springs, Kan., passed from this life on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Mo.
Harry was born to the union of Russell and Clara (Ragar) Miller at Van Wert, Ohio, on Dec. 11, 1932. Harry was then united in marriage on Nov. 25, 1950, at Plymouth, Ind., to Nellie (Hoyt) Miller.
Harry was a tool and die maker working for Don's Machine Shop in Joplin. He was a member of the Baxter Springs Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf and fellowship. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Russell Miller Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nellie Miller, of the home; one son, Steve Miller and wife, Donna, of Bakersfield, Calif.; four daughters, Lynn Perego and husband, John, of Waukesha, Wis.,, Mary Jo Winston, of Grafton, Wis., Janet Miller, of Baxter Springs, and Lori Miller, of Commerce, Okla.; three brothers, Lloyd Miller, Roland Miller and Alan Miller; two sisters, Jane Knowles and Coralee Powers; and eight grandchildren, Jamie and Tyler Clemans, Lisa and David Winston, Katie and Wyatt Miller and Brooke and Garrett Morrissey.
Harry has been entrusted to Derfelt's Baxter Chapel for cremation. Services will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
Family ask memorial donations be made to Quaker Hill Activity Fund in care of the funeral home.
