WEBB CITY, Mo. — Michael "Jeremy" Mallory, age 37, of Webb City was born on Feb. 14, 1975, in Gravette, Ark. and lost his battle with ALS on Jan. 19, 2013.

He is survived by his son, Michael Jonathan Mallory age 6; his parents, Michael W. Mallory and his wife, Sandy Mallory; his mother, Jacqueline J. Mallory; sister, Carman Brinker and her family; his beloved nieces; and a  brother, Paul Travis Mallory; along with  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and teammates.

Some of his cherished life accomplishments were, while attending Webb City High School, he was a co-captain of the 1992 State High School Football Team, and he continued playing football at Missouri Southern where he obtained a B.S. in Mathematics. He then received his masters degree at Pittsburg State University and continued his education at the University of Arkansas, where he was teaching and obtaining his Ph.D.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Reverend Brian Whittle officiating. A visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, Mo.

Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
