SHERMAN, TX —
Martha T. Hearrell Christian, 84, Sherman, Texas, died Nov. 30, 2012, at Pecan Point Assisted Living.
Martha was born July 30, 1928, in her childhood home of Dave C. and Blanche Hearrell in Neosho, Mo. She moved 22 times following her husband's career and raising four children until settling in Plainfield, Ind., for 51 years. She enjoyed participating in her children's activities, including Cub Scouts, Brownies and Boy and Girl Scouts. She loved to traveling, going across the U.S., Hawaii, Switzerland, Ireland and cruises in the Caribbean. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Smith and husband, Bill and their family, C.J. Kimberlin and husband, Jeff, Eric and and Sara; and three sons, Tom Christian and wife, Stephanie and their children, Fisher, Liam, Jack and Sophie Christian; Matt Christian and wife, Susan and their children, Christina Cissna and husband, Russ, Tyler and Andrew Cissna; and Tim Christian and wife, Dani and Paul Christian and wife, Chanthavy. Martha is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert A. Christian; her parents; and three brothers.
Memorial services for Martha Hearrell Christian, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Dr. Sara Chaney will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
