CARTHAGE, MO —
Doug W. Carter, 59, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Mo.
Doug was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Carthage, Mo., to Joyce Bowman Carter and Gene Carter. Doug was a lifetime Carthage resident. He worked for Leggett & Platt for 41 years.
Doug is survived by two daughters, Leigh Ann Morgan and husband, Steve, of Bolivar, and Brittany Roberts and husband, Josh, of Carthage; one son, Cameron Carter and wife, Christy, of Neosho; and nine grandchildren, Sydney, Emily, Kennedy and Ashton Morgan, Alivea and Brenlly Roberts, Cole, Camri and Callie Carter. Also survived by one brother, Steve Carter, of Oklahoma City; and sister, Patti McCoy and husband, Curt, of Webb City.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fasken Cemetery, east of Carthage.
