Wilda Bayless

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Wilda Bayless, 84, lifetime resident of Carthage, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, Mo.

Wilda was born on Nov. 29, 1928, to Lola Crowder Turner and Ramson Turner in Goodman, Mo. She was a homemaker. Wilda was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was a graduate of the Class of 1946, at Carthage High School.

Wilda married James Lorney Bayless on Sept. 12, 1948, in Carthage. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1987.

Wilda was survived by two sons, James Bayless and Michael Bayless; one daughter, Adele Christine Bayless Kingsbury; one sister, Georgia Oldfield, all of Carthage; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Seth, Caleb, and Luke; and seven great- grandchildren. Wilda is preceded by her parents; and one brother, James Elwood Turner.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Hackney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Ulmer Funeral Home.

Contributions can be made to St. Lukes Nursing Center care of Ulmer Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
