JOPLIN, Mo. — Marjorie M. Crandall, 61, passed from this world after a courageous battle with cancer on Feb. 8, 2013, surrounded by her family in Joplin.

Born in Joplin on March 8, 1951, one of eight children of Marion and Etta Bird, Marjorie married Jesse Crandall on June 3, 1967. He preceded her in death after 29 years of marriage. Her parents and one sister also preceded her in death.

Marjorie is survived by her four children, Kathy Brown and husband Joe, Tina Oberzan and husband Matt, Jessica Dodge and husband Jon, Tim Crandall and wife Miranda; six grandchildren, Qwyntnn, Blake, Ethan, Madisyn, Aaron and Chloe; one great-grandchild, Kaydence; three brothers  and three sisters; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she always took great joy and interest in the lives of her family.

A remembrance service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Forest Park Baptist Church, Joplin.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cancer Institute in care of Forest Park Baptist Church.
