Frances M. McFerron, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark, Mo.
She was born on Aug. 20, 1923, to Charles H. Hoppe and Sarah Jane Gann Hoppe.
Frances was a homemaker, worked at Elders Garment Factory in Carl Junction, and was a member of the Carl Junction Christian Church where she was baptized in 1933. She also graduated from Carl Junction High School in the class of 1941.
Frances married Walter Warren Mack McFerron on July 16, 1943, in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2011.
She is survived by sons, Walter Wayne McFerron and wife, Barbara, of Reed Springs, Mo., and John Robert McFerron, of Nixa, Mo.; brother, Bill Hoppe and wife, Ruth, of Nutrioso, Ariz.; grandchildren, Bill McFerron and wife, Paula, of Sylvania, Ohio, Beth Ralph and husband, Brian, of Holland, Ohio, John McFerron, of Denver, Colo.; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. in Carl Junction Cemetery with Pastor Boyce Mouton officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff for all the loving care Frances received from Ozark Riverview Residential Care, Ozark Riverview Manor and Seasons Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice at 1831 West Melville Road, Springfield, MO 65803, or to the Carl Junction Food Pantry in her memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
