JOPLIN, MO —
Star "Bo" Jordan, age 32, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Freeman Hospital following a sudden illness.
June 15, 1980, a star was born in Torrance, Calif. His name is Star but he preferred to be called, "Bo". He is the son of Craig Jordan and Charlene J. (Melvin) Richardson. He has lived in Joplin most of his life.
He worked as a Blackjack dealer for Downstream Casino and Indigo Sky Casino. He also worked in construction with his dad, Craig Jordan; his uncle, Scott Holland; and his brother-in-law, Justin Mynatt. He was a member of the United States Bowling Association. Bo was a gamer and loved to play online video games with his sister, Alena Mynatt and all of his friends. Bo loved spending time with his fiancé, My-O Xiang and her family at their home and on the poultry farm. Bo loved the Chiefs and is a diehard fan!
He is survived by his father, Craig Jordan, Joplin; his mother, Charlene J. Richardson, Carthage; two sisters, Alena Mynatt and her husband, Justin and family, Oronogo, and Julia McCabe and her husband, Matt and family, Lebanon; his fiancé, Mai Ong (My-O) Xiong, Joplin; future stepson, Alexander Vang; grandparents, Ruby Holland, Joplin; aunts, Pam Johnson and her husband, Butch, Diamond, Shelly Tracy and her husband, Richard, Joplin, and Norman and Beverly Heathcart, Miami; and many cousins and other family and great friends. Bo was preceded in death by grandfather, Robert Jordan; grandfather, Bobby Joe Holland; niece, Faith Jordan; grandmother, Lora Olive; great-grandfather, Vergil Jordan; great-grandmother, Rosie Clayton; cousins, Jonathan Clayton and Shannon Harris; great-great-grandmother, Childress; great-grandparents, Rosie and Lloyd Clayton; and half-brother, Robert Jarrad.
Funeral services are planned for Friday at 1 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Dr. Mack Evans will officiate. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Mynatt, Vameng Xiong, Chong Xiong, David Clark, Cory Harris, Scott Holland and Brian Harris. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary.
