JOPLIN, MO —
Carolyn R. Harris, age 74, Joplin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital.
Carolyn was born Feb. 21, 1938, in Springfield, Mo., daughter of the late Marion Jennings and Florence Irene Blue Jennings. She attended Rich Hill Schools and moved to Joplin in 1956. She worked as a bartender for many years at several local restaurants including Rafter's and Lee's Steak House.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald M. Jennings.
Survivors include the love of her life and soul mate for over 43 years, Daniel Warren; daughters, Tricia Harris, of Jay, Okla., Barb Gregory, of Joplin, Sandra Ray, of Joplin, and Susan Robinson and husband, Mark, of Carl Junction, Mo.; brother, Jerry Jennings and wife, Janet, of Lees Summit, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Lindsey Howard, Michael and Chris Ray, Ryan and Stephanie Gregory, Corey Simmons, Mackenzie, Joelee, Jaci and Cooper Robinson; and four great-grandchildren, Jodie and Carlie Howard and Zachary and Brayden Ray.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
