ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Brian Glenn Porter, age 51, of Albuquerque, N.M., was born May 1, 1961, in Phoenix, Ariz. He passed away at his home on March 28, 2013.
Brian moved to Albuquerque when he was 5 years old and spent the rest of his life there. He attended elementary school, Sandia High School and Albuquerque Technical School. He was employed in sales most of the time for radio and television advertising, New Mexico State Magazine and was also in automobile sales. He was a member of the St. Paul's Methodist Church in Albuquerque.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Nelle Porter, of Joplin, Mo.; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins; his companion and best friend, Kelly Henson, of Albuquerque; plus many other friends there. Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Ann Porter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Terri Haywood will officiate. Burial will be in the Lanagan Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to Royal Heights Methodist Church, Joplin, in care of the mortuary.
