SPRINGDALE, Ark. —
Oddy Straight, 72, long time businessman and resident of Springdale, Ark., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013.
He was born Jan. 14, 1941. He was owner and operator of Straight's Lawn and Garden in Springdale. His mission in life was to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through helping others, giving to others and caring for his family.
Oddy served in the Army National Guard for 10 years. He was a plant manager of H.K. Porter Co. in the early to mid 1970s.

He served there for about 25 years, assisting Rev. Cliff Palmer with over 3,000 Baptisms. From there he moved to First Baptist Church of Centerton and again took part in the growth of a small church. He was presently a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs. Oddy was a graduate of Springdale High School where he was a two way starter on the football team.
