CARTHAGE, MO — Eva Louise Blackford, 84, passed away July 27, 2010, at 12 p.m. at the Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center, Carthage, Mo.
She was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Commerce, Okla., the daughter of Raymond Keltner and Virginia (Thomas) Keltner.
Her parents and two sisters, Eilene Knight and Roberta Eastmead preceded her in death.
She married Eugene L. Blackford on April 12, 1947, in Columbus, Kan. He survives.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Church of Perseverance, the women's auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion, the women's bowling league and the ATA Hall.
Six children, Kenneth Blackford and wife, Sandy, Joplin, Mo., Wayne Blackford and wife, Sue, Carl Junction, Mo., Robert Blackford and wife, Mary, Carthage, Ed Blackford and wife, Belle, Granby, Mo., Emma Farris and husband, Cliff, Plattsburg, Mo., and Ernie Blackford, Joplin; two sisters, Doris Jean Davidson and husband, Larry, Kimberling City, Mo., and Dorothy Rorabaugh and husband, Art, Selbyville, Del.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren also survive her.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Knell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage.
