LAS CRUCES, NM —

Darrell Danner, 70, passed away in Las Cruces, N.M., on Nov. 6, 2012.

Born in Carthage, Mo., to Virginia and Harold, Darrell was the younger of their two sons. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry.

Darrell graduated from Carthage High School, New Mexico State University (BA, BS, MA) and University of Kansas (PhD). He taught at the Universities of Kansas and Missouri, was the Planning Director of The City of Las Cruces, and later had his own planning and GIS consultancy firm GeoStat, Inc.

 

He will be remembered for his generosity and his love for his family and friends.Darrell is survived by his sons, Christopher and Timothy; grandchildren, Matt and Jessica; and his wife, Aditi Sarkar.
