JOPLIN, Mo. —
Kenneth "Ken" Sharp, age 81, of Joplin, passed away on Feb. 17, 2013, at his home following an illness.
Kenneth was born on April 24, 1931, in Litchfield, Ill., the son of the late Lesley Wayne and Hazel (Boden) Sharp. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a supervisor for Tamko.
He married Virginia Kite in Huntsville, Ark. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Kenny Sharp; grandsons, Mason Sharp, Casey Sharp and Josh Ledbetter; also two great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Sharp's Imports at 3735 East 20th, Joplin.
