CARTERVILLE, Mo. —
Mary N. Denny, 92, Carterville, Mo., passed away April 23, 2012, at Webb City Health and Rehab Center, following a lengthy illness.
Mary was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Augusta, Kan., the daughter of Rufus and Bertha (Stanley) Wood. She was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker.
Mary married Harley N. Denny on Oct. 29, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Eva Irene Smith and Velma Louise Besett, both of Carterville; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Walton.
Services will be Thursday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Ralph Walker. Interment will be in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Endicott, Scott Endicott, Bud Anderson, Stephen Shafer, Gary Brooks and Charles Wilson. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
