JOPLIN, Mo. —
Patricia Ann Johnson, age 83, of Joplin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013, after a brief illness.
Pat was born on Feb. 7, 1930, to Dorothy and Ray Chesnutt in Joplin.
She married John V. Johnson on June 10, 1950, at St. Marys Church in Pierce City, Mo. They were the loving and caring parents of three children. John preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2006.
Pat was a long time member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Joplin. In her younger years, Patsy was accomplished in ballet, later teaching dance for many years. After completion of her studies at Joplin High School and Joplin Junior College, she had a long and successful career as a paralegal and real estate broker.
Survivors include her brother, Tommy Chesnutt, of Ponca City, Okla.; a sister, Linda Davis, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Libby Molisak and husband, Bill, of Joplin; sons, Mark Johnson, of Joplin and Mike Johnson and wife, Meridith also, of Joplin; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Thornhill-Dillon Chapel due to the temporary closure of St. Peters for a construction project. Father J. Freidel will officiate.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
