CARTHAGE, Mo. —
John Allen Morris, 94, of Carthage, Mo., passed away early morning, Thursday, May 17, 2012, at St Lukes Nursing Center in Carthage.
He was born Jun. 29, 1917, in Shattock, Okla., the son of John Isreal and Eva (McCormick) Morris.
He was united in marriage to Jane (Warren) Morris on Oct. 1, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas. She survives.
He lived in Texas and California before moving to Carthage in 1962. John was self employed working as a farmer and carpenter. He was a proud father of four, grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 15 and a great-great grandfather of 1.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Morris.; One son, John R. Morris, of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Linda K Williams and husband Richard and Susan A. McVey and husband David, both, of Carthage.
He was preceded in death by a son, Warren J. Morris and his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Midland Cremation Society, Joplin, Mo.
