CARTHAGE, MO —

Virginia M. Perkins completed her journey through life April 29, 2012.

She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Melvin, Iowa, to Herbert and Mae Butt.

She married David Perkins May 21, 1939, in Joplin, Mo. She was a lifelong homemaker, devoted wife and loving mother. She was a member of the Carthage Church of the Nazarene, of Carthage, Mo.

She is survived by her two sons Ronald David Perkins (Kathy), Webb City, Mo., and Jack Harmon Perkins (Aminta), Kingsville, Texas; a sister, Juanita Jarmin (Harl), of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, James F. Butts (Jeannene), of Carthage; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her tough love, tender love, wisdom, zest for life and friendship will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 45 years in Webb Cemetery, Miller, Mo. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Carthage Church of the Nazarene, Carthage.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carthage Church of the Nazarene care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
