FAIRVIEW, MO —
James M. Tracy, 92, Fairview, Mo., died April 25, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
James was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Fairview, the son of Henry Bascomb and Etta (Harris) Tracy. He was a lifelong area resident, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked for Ozark Engineering for 23 years in the structural steel industry, retiring in 1982.
James is survived by a son, Wiley B. Tracy, Joplin; four grandchildren, Kevin Sanders, Pittsburg, Kan., Tina Gullett, Neosho, Kim Clymer, Joplin, and Crystal Moses, Webb City, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Bill Sanders, Neosho. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Elda Sanders in 2001.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 28, at 10 a.m. at the Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Friday from 9 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
