DIAMOND, MO — 


Betty Lucille Peterson, age 81, of Diamond, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Freeman Hospital following an illness.
Betty was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Dalles, Ore., to John and Bessie (Race) Martin.  
Betty was an accountant for NAPA Auto Parts.
She married Leonard Peterson and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2000.
Betty enjoyed watching all sports and sitting outdoors in the beautiful nature. She will be greatly missed.
Betty is survived by two sons, Michael Peterson and wife, Dayle, of Diamond, and Ron Peterson and wife, Becky, of Hermanston, Ore.; one brother, George Martin and wife, Peggy, of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Helen Dixon, of Hood River, Ore.; and eight grandchildren, Gretchen Shraples and husband, Will, of Springfield, Mo., Kim Huff and husband, Chris, of Joplin, Mo., Donovan and Mariah Peterson, of Hood River, Kathy Shryer and husband, Jason, of Webb City, Mo., Stephanie Jewell and husband, Leigh, of Carl Junction, Mo., and Chris and Eric Peterson, of Diamond; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Diane Gibby; one brother, John Martin; and brother-in-law, Ray Dixon.
Betty has been taken for cremation with no services at this time. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
