Jane Michelle VanSlyke

NEOSHO, MO —


Jane Michelle VanSlyke, 47, Neosho, Mo., died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at her home.
She was born Aug. 15, 1964, in Wichita, Kan., to Charles Wayne and Norma Elaine (Murphy) Beasley. 
Jane and her family moved to Neosho in 1967. She has lived in this area most of her life. Jane loved children and being a mom and grandmother. She loved to crochet and make beautiful afghans. Her dedication to her family will be greatly missed.
She had worked as a babysitter, beautician and church custodian and was a member of Calvary Baptist, of Neosho. 
Jane and Mark VanSlyke were married Oct. 6, 1984, in Neosho. He survives.
Additional survivors include her children, Dakota VanSlyke and wife, Felicia, Brittany VanSlyke and Madison VanSlyke; two grandchildren, Charlie Peyton and Raygen Diane VanSlyke; her parents, Charles and Norma Beasley; two sisters and brothers-in- law, Renee and Martin Moore and Karen and Jimmy Jester; and a brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Anita Beasley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Penny and Stan Hayward; nieces and nephews, McKenzie Barnes, Morgan and Nicole Jester, Calie Beasley, Ashley Jones, Andy Beasley, Laney and Jaylen Hayward, Hayden and Hudsyn Jones and Jurnie Barnes; father and mother-in-law, Sanford and Janell VanSlyke; and grandmother-in-law, Narvellia Sink. 
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 at Calvary of Neosho, with Pastor Roger Brumley officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery, west of Neosho. Friends may call at the funeral home in Neosho, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm at Calvary Baptist. The casket will be closed at all times. 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Newton County Cancer Council in care of Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
