KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Beulah Helen (Treganza) King, 97, a resident of Kingswood Methodist Retirement Manor, passed away July 8, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment will be in Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin, Mo., at 3 p.m.
Beulah was born in Joplin, on Jan. 9, 1916, to Frank E. Traganza and Beulah Belle Moore. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1934. In 1936, Beulah was honored as Joplin's Fiesta Queen.
She married Jack E. King on Oct. 18, 1936. They resided in Joplin until 1965, when they made their home in Kansas City, Mo.
Beulah was an active member of Kingswood, serving on many committees. She was past president of PEO, Chapter IV, Kansas City, remaining active until shortly before her death. Beulah was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her spouse of 56 years, Jack E. King.
