Racine, Mo. —  Tommie W. Goswick, 67, lifelong resident of Racine, Mo., passed away 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after an illness.

Tommie Wayne Goswick was born Aug. 17, 1945, in Racine, the son of M.F. and Stella Goswick. Tom worked in the family business M.F. Goswick Lime Company. He served in the National Guard from 1966 to 1972.  Tom loved to hunt and fish and looked forward every year to planting his vegetable garden.

Tommie W. Goswick married Rosemary S. Montgomery Sept. 15, 1967, in Seneca, Mo. and she survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Allen Goswick and wife, Melissa, Fairland, Okla.; one daughter, Deana Goswick and fiancé, Jon Griffith, Joplin; one brother, Charles Goswick and wife, Leona, Wheaton, Mo.; one sister, Bonnie Crawford, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Aubrey and Josaline Goswick and Sage and Ivy Griffith; and a host of nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Goswick in 1985; his father, M.F. Goswick in 1987; three brothers, Steve Goswick in 1996, LeRoy Goswick in 2001, and Frank Goswick in 2011; one sister, Dollie Brixey in 1988; and one grandson, Lodin Goswick in 2000.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Chapel in Seneca, at 10 a.m. with a short visitation to follow. The body has been taken for cremation.
