WEBB CITY, MO —
Juanita I. Pearish Church, age 63, Webb City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her home.
Juanita was born June 24, 1949, in Webb City, and has lived in this area all her life. She was a graduate of Joplin High School in 1967, and then graduated from Franklin Tech as an LPN in 1968, and worked for 13 years, mainly with area nursing homes. In 1983, she earned her Registered Nurse degree from Labette County Community College and worked for area hospitals and nursing homes for a total of 44 years of service to the Joplin area. She was a nursing consultant for over 20 years for The Medical Lodge Nursing Centers and traveled throughout the Mid-West to help with the firm's nursing facilities. She also had a training procedure manual published by the Missouri State Board of Nursing to be used as a standard.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Forrest E. Pearish; and a sister, Betty Jean Pearish.
Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Pearish, of Joplin; brothers, Forrest Eugene Pearish and wife, Christine, of Joplin, Bob Pearish, of Oronogo, Mo., Bill Pearish and wife, Ginger, of Grove, Okla., and Jim Pearish, of Galena, Kan.; 11 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Saginaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.
