SENECA, Mo. — Jack Murphy, 93, Seneca, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following an illness.

Jack was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Franklin, Kan., the son of Roy and Sally (Boggs) Murphy. He served in the Army Infantry and lived most of his life in the SW Missouri area. He worked at Sears as an appliance salesman and was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church.

Jack married Joye Bushnell on June 14, 1941, at Stella, Mo. and she preceded him in death on March 23, 2008. A son, Terry, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Gary Murphy and wife, Dian, Seneca; two grandchildren, Keri Gunther, Dallas, Texas and Jeff Murphy, Houston, Texas; three great- grandchildren, Rachelle Gunther, Jessica Murphy and Joshua Murphy; and a brother, George Murphy, Sublett, Kan.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Larry Griffin, Minister will officiate. Interment will be the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday Friends may call Monday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
