CARL JUNCTION, MO — Beverly "Bev" Irwin passed away on Jan. 2, 2013, at her home.

She was born Jan. 3, 1954, to the union of Delbert and Helen (Coker) Curry in Tulare, Calif.

On Feb. 18, 1991, she married Gerald Leroy Irwin, who preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2009.

She had lived in the Carl Junction area most of her life, where she worked as a babysitter in a private setting. Her hobbies included spending time with her family and taking care of her animals.

Survivors include one son, Charles Irwin (wife, Jessica), of Carl Junction; one daughter, Macajah Irwin, of the home; one step-daughter, Gera Irwin, of Joplin; three brothers, Stanley Watkins, Glen Watkins and Don Watkins; one sister, Nancy Brown; and two grandchildren.

The body was taken for cremation under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kan.

A memorial service will be held at Smithfield Christian Church in Carl Junction, on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 12 p.m.
