Frances and George moved back to Kansas City, after selling the truck line, building their new home at Alameda Towers on the Plaza, where Frances stayed until she needed more help. She later moved to Kingswood Manor, where she celebrated her 101st birthday.

She is survived by stepson, George Jr. and his daughters, Jennie and Jacque; halfsister, Anna Lou Engelhardt and her family members: grand niece and grand nephews and their spouses, great-nieces, other nieces and nephews of her deceased sister.
