ANDERSON, MO —
Mr. Larry L. Call, 61, of Anderson, Mo., departed this life on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark., after a two year battle with cancer.
Larry entered this life on July 15, 1951, in Neosho, Mo., one of two sons born to Boyd and Delores (Wilson) Call. He was a lifelong resident of Anderson, and was a 1969 graduate of McDonald County High School.
On Oct. 1, 1971, in Joplin, Mo., he was united in marriage to Linda M. Payton and to this union one son was born. He was employed by Premier Turbines in Neosho, Mo., as an inspector with 39 years of loyal service to the company. He enjoyed professional bull riding, golf and trips to Canada fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Call; and his mother and father in-law, Dottie and Loyd Payton.
Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Call, of the home; a son, Eric Call and wife, Liz, of Bella Vista, Ark.; his mother, Delores Talbot, of Neosho; one brother, Rick Call and wife, Nancy, of Neosho; as well as a host of other family and countless friends. Larry was patiently awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild in June.
Funeral services for Mr. Call are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Denis Bergen officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, near Longview, Mo. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Bo Peck, Ken Shoenberger, Dan Webster, Harold Meredith, Jim Evans and Joe Cash. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Cancer Support Home of Fayetteville and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
