JOPLIN, MO —

Amanda L. "Amy" Trindle, age 48, Joplin, passed away at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness.

Amy was born July 23, 1964, in Norman, Okla., to John Morris and Connie Harmon Morris and had lived in the Joplin and Carl Junction areas since 1974.  

Amy graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1982, and received a degree in Early Childhood Development from NSU in 1987. She volunteered at Freeman Hospital and was a member of the Four State Christian Singles Association. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Connie Morris, Joplin; her father, John Morris, Australia; a sister, Laurel Gafken, Joplin; two nieces, Becki Gooch and Flannery Gafken; one great-niece, Kaydance Provins; and several extended family members.

Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Joplin Humane Society or to the Epilepsy Foundation, both in care of Parker Mortuary.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
